The 1st PMU-B SHA Consortium Networking Meeting Fostering Researcher Networks and Advancing Project Proposal Development in Social Sciences

On August 21–22, 2024, the Program Management Unit for Human Resources & Institutional Development, Research and Innovation (PMU-B) organized the 1st PMU-B SHA Consortium Networking Meeting at the Thongkasem Conference Room, Rain Tree Residence Hotel, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. The objective was to foster a strong network of social science researchers and support the development of high-quality research proposals aimed at sustainable national development.

The meeting was officially opened by Asst. Prof. Dr. Phulsak Koseeyaporn, who delivered a welcome address to researchers and distinguished experts from various institutions. The event was held in collaboration with PMU-B, led by Prof. Dr. Sompong Klainongsuang, Director of PMU-B, along with Dr. Pawadee Angvatana, Deputy Director, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Sirinan Kulchat.

PMU-B analysts also participated in the sessions, offering constructive feedback alongside domain experts to improve and strengthen research proposals.

The event featured networking activities that provided a platform for researchers and experts across sectors to exchange ideas and forge collaborations for future joint research initiatives.

Throughout the two-day meeting, various research teams from universities and institutions nationwide presented proposals across four main thematic groups, covering:

  • Human resource development in science and technology

  • Research in social sciences, culture, and the creative economy

  • Capacity building for personnel across industries

  • Other cross-disciplinary innovation topics

Participants engaged in meaningful dialogue, offering insight and constructive critique to help advance research proposals into impactful projects for Thailand’s sustainable future.

This inaugural PMU-B SHA Consortium Networking Meeting marked a significant step toward building a collaborative research community and cultivating quality-driven project proposals that form a solid foundation for national development.
