"See the World Broadly, Think Creatively, Respect Differences, and Build Democracy Together"National Children's Day 2024Faculty of Education, Khon Kaen University

On January 13, 2024, the PMU-B Cluster was honored to participate in the National Children's Day celebration hosted by the Faculty of Education, Khon Kaen University.

Representing PMU-B at the event were:

  • Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rina Patramanon, Chair of the Frontier Research Cluster Coordination Committee

  • Ms. Jaturaporn Chokphukhiow, Director of the PMU-B Cluster Coordination Office and Chair of the Frontier SHA, Humanities, Arts, and AI/Coding Cluster

The event took place at the Golden Jubilee Convention Center, Khon Kaen University, and was well attended by university executives, partner organizations, students, parents, and the general public.

During the opening ceremony:

  • Assoc. Prof. Dr. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, President of Khon Kaen University, delivered the welcome address

  • The event report was presented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Isra Kanjak, Dean of the Faculty of Education

  • The opening remarks were delivered by Mr. Jirasak Sihamat, Deputy Governor of Khon Kaen Province

The event also featured lively performances by students from Khon Kaen University Demonstration Schools (Mo Din Daeng and Faculty of Education), showcasing talent and creativity across all levels. Highlighted performances included:

From Kindergarten Section – KKU Demonstration School (Faculty of Education):

  • Melodion Ensemble

  • Isan Muan Suen (Joyful Isan)

  • Land of Happiness

From Primary Section – KKU Demonstration School (Faculty of Education):

  • Khon Performance from the Ramakien: Hanuman Captures Suphannamatcha

  • Dance of the Four Regions (Nattnaree Thepee 4 Pak)

From Primary Section – KKU Demonstration School (Mo Din Daeng):

  • On Son Isan (Traditional Isan Cultural Dance)

Additional Performances:

  • The Sound of Love

  • Just Believe in Your Dreams

These performances reflected the joy and creativity of the students while celebrating Thai culture and promoting confidence through the performing arts.

Additional performances included:

  • International Program students from Khon Kaen University Demonstration School

  • Marching Band performance by students from the Secondary Section (Faculty of Education)

  • Fun and engaging activities from many partner schools and youth networks

The National Children’s Day 2024 celebration aimed to emphasize the importance of children and youth, who are the future of the nation. The event provided a platform to encourage creativity, cultural expression, and lifelong learning.
