The PMU-B Cluster was honored to participate in the 7th Kaen International Film Festival.

Representing PMU-B at the event was Ms. Jaturaporn Chokphukhiow,Director of the PMU-B Cluster Coordination Office andChair of the Frontier Research Cluster in Social Sciences, Humanities, Arts (SHA), and Artificial Intelligence (AI/Coding).

The festival was organized by Khon Kaen University, through the Office of Arts, Culture and Creative Economy, in collaboration with various public and private sector partners. The event was held from December 8–12, 2023, in Khon Kaen Province.

The 7th Kaen International Film Festival serves as a creative platform to foster cultural exchange, showcase emerging talents, and drive forward the regional creative economy through film and media arts. 🎬✨

The festival aimed to promote and support the film industry, particularly in the Isan region and the Lao PDR, by raising public awareness and encouraging greater interest in cinema. It also sought to foster creative and tangible approaches to film production, while promoting the transfer of knowledge and skills related to filmmaking.

The event provided a platform for exchanging perspectives on cinema, helping both the public and aspiring filmmakers gain insights and inspiration that can be applied to professional development.

This year’s edition also contributed to a positive outlook for Thailand’s film industry, helping to increase the value of the creative economy and drive the national strategy for promoting Soft Power through the film sector. 🎬🌏
